In this 2013 project, I was involved in crafting the official Chinese website for Swiss Hotel Xiamen, with a particular emphasis on optimizing the user interface (UI) and enhancing the user experience (UX).
To achieve this, I meticulously designed the UI elements to ensure a visually appealing and cohesive layout. This involved creating a user-friendly navigation system, implementing intuitive icons and buttons, and fine-tuning the color scheme to resonate with the Swiss Hotel brand while catering to the preferences of the Chinese market.
For an enhanced UX, I carefully mapped out user journeys and conducted usability testing to refine the website’s functionality. This process included streamlining the online room reservation process, optimizing page load times, and ensuring seamless transitions between pages.
By focusing on both UI and UX aspects, the end result was a website that not only showcased Swiss Hotel Xiamen’s offerings but also provided a smooth and engaging experience for visitors, ultimately boosting the conversion rate for online room bookings.
